Panther Skin is built to be private by default. The app has no accounts, no logins, no advertising, and no analytics. It does not track you.
Your cabinet, routine, and scan history are stored locally on your device. If you delete the app, that data is removed with it.
The camera is used only when you choose to scan a bottle. A photo is used to read a barcode or an ingredient list. Photos are not uploaded, not used for advertising, and not stored on our servers.
If a scan produces a barcode, the app may send only that barcode to a lookup service (this proxy, or Open Beauty Facts) so we can fetch a public ingredient list. No name, no photo, no account. If you paste ingredients yourself, nothing is sent.
